With the advent of Text to AI generated images, I thought I’d try and produce some images for my Books from the Time Travel Diaries of James Urquhart and Elizabeth Bicester.
A number of free websites exist for generating images and a list of some of the can be found on ZNET.
After experimenting with a few, I eventually decided on NightCafe.
NightCafe is very simple to use, and provides a large number of artistic styles and artists to help you generate an image. And is Free.
Text to Image
To obtain AI Generated images in NightCafe, a descriptive text is entered.
The order of the words is quite important. The first part should contain an exact description. Then add secondary details next. Followed by the style required. NightCafe has a comprehensive list of styles etc which you can select and add.
Here is an example, with the text I used to generate the image
A Romantic Victorian lady, sitting in the control room of an alien spaceship. Style, Alfonso Mucha.
Drawings to Image
It also has a good tool to convert your drawings or scketches into a photo or painting in the style you want. Here is an example where I uploaded a drawing of a sailing ship in a harbour and the asked NighCafe to convert it to an image in a pre-raphaelite style.
Publishing images
A well as using some of the AI generated images on my website for the Time Travel Diaries of James Urquhart & Elizabeth Bicester, I’ve also posted some on Pinterest which you can find here
